English Language in Australia

Big from Thailand studies English at GEOS Queensland College of English at the Gold Coast in Queensland.

Why did you choose Australia?

It was a relative spontaneous idea. I was looking for a place that I could go to after graduating university. Accidentally I read an article in the newspaper about Australia and then everything went really quick.

How do you feel being and studying in a foreign country?

Everything is more expensive then in my country was kind of a shock in the beginning. Many different nations come together here which I like very much.

How can you handle the language?

My English is getting better but I have still have some comprehension problems. Today is my last week in the language school and I am very sad, because I had such a great time here.

What is it like being a language student?

It´s really exciting because there are always new students.

What are you doing in your leisure time?

I like to spend my time with my home stay family and with my new friends.

Do you have some tips for people who think about coming to Australia?

You should go to the rainforest and stand under a waterfall. You will forget everything around you.

What do you think of the Australian people?

They love sports, especial rugby. That’s really good because I like sports either and met a lot of Australian friends through the sport.

Is there something else you want to add?

You should go to Australia as long as you’re young.
