Sydney English Language Centre (SELC)

As you know, we have a good range of English language courses including 3 levels of Cambridge, English for Academic Purposes courses leading directly into 40+ reputable universities & vocational colleges (attached), Business & General English.

We also have a 4-8 week English for Customer Service Communication Course (ECSC) which assists students on their way to gaining employment in Australian cafes & censed restaurants/hotels.

Course Overview

In brief, this course provides students with hospitality-related English skills as well as practical skills and 3 certificates in coffee-making (Advanced Barista Certificate), RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol license), Bar/Cocktail Training as well as some unpaid work experience in a Bondi cafe.

SELC was one of the first language colleges in Australia to offer this type of course for international students and now we are planning to extend on this innovation with a new Study & Work Package (also attached).

This package is designed for the Working Holiday Visa student (but is also available to your clients on student visa) and will further assist them to gain employment.

SELC provides the initial English language skills to get the student to intermediate level (desired for employment) and offers training and practice in cafe/restaurant & bar skills (if required) with our 4-8 week ECSC course. From this point students have a better chance of gaining employment in hospitality and many other areas with the assistance of our trusted partner Work n Travel who have 11 years of
experience in job placement for international students.
